BAY AREA The FUN Mud Run Sunday, October 1, 2017

Price Increases in 13 days

The perfect weather that we special-ordered for Sunday was delivered right on time, and you made the most of it. Under blue skies, you turned the sun-kissed Solano County Fairgrounds into an uproarious and uplifting muck-stravaganza.

Things got mucky from the get-go in the Muckin' Corral, where muckers rolled, crawled and marinated themselves in the muck before putting on a really filthy show out on the course.

After slogging through the Triple Pits and bouncing through the Big Balls, muckers hooted and screeched like banshees while splash-landing on Flying Muckers and sliding down Slippy Sloppy. It was a daytime Emmy-worthy performance in the hotly contested area of Slapstick Muck-Comedy.

And let's not forget the little ones. Those wacky whippersnappers really went to town in the Lil' Muckers mini-course. Well done, kiddos!

With creative team names like Up All Night to Get Mucky, Woodchuck Panic, and Sisterhood of the Mucky Pants, we were not at all surprised to see awesome team t-shirts and get-ups that definitely established the Bay Area cosplay cred. And thanks to the muckers dressed in white: you really made Mud Master Al happy on his 50th birthday weekend, which was commemorated with a mud-pie right in Old Al's kisser!

Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who donated and fundraised on behalf of the National MS Society, including the incredible top fundraising individuals and teams listed below. And our hats are off again this year to the 60+ members of the top fundraising team powerhouse [24]7 Val's Pals, helmed by top fundraiser and team captain extraordinaire, Valerie Rosado; thank you Val and Pals for going above and beyond in 2017!

A special shoutout to local sponsor Genentech, which fielded a team of muckers who absolutely tore it up on the course in more ways than one.

Big thanks to the hard-working volunteer captains and volunteers who made this event come alive. The muck-magic would not be possible without you.

We'd also like to thank and recognize all the muckers, volunteers and spectators who traveled near and far from around the Bay Area and neighboring states. And to the Solano County Fairgrounds, thanks again for being a great event partner.

Thank You

National MS Society Thank You Message

Thank you for coming out and making MuckFest MS Bay Area so memorable. We would like to thank all the runners, volunteers, spectators and staff who participated and supported each other this weekend. It is that spirit of support that inspires us to work hard every day of the year to support people living with multiple sclerosis.

There is still time to support the mission behind the “muck.” We've made incredible progress so far and we want to keep that momentum going after the event. Make a donation online.
